We are pleased to present one of the largest Car Flow System installations in recent months. We designed, supplied, installed, and commissioned a comprehensive parking system for the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński Voivodeship Specialist Hospital in Lublin – one of the region's key medical facilities. The investment was carried out in cooperation with our partner, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Polska, and represents one of the most extensive projects implemented by Car Flow System to date at a public-use facility.
The project for the hospital in Lublin is one of the most extensive parking projects we have implemented recently. The scale of the investment covers dozens of devices distributed across the hospital complex, forming a coherent, fully automated parking management system:
Such a large number of devices, integrated within a single system, required precise infrastructure design that accounted for the specific traffic patterns of an active medical facility, the different groups of users, and the need to maintain full continuity of hospital operations at every stage of the implementation.
Hospital facilities are among the most demanding sites when it comes to organizing vehicle traffic. Every day, different groups of drivers move around the hospital grounds – patients, visitors, medical staff, ambulances, suppliers, and service vehicles. Each of these groups requires a different level of access, different fee rules, and a different traffic priority.
Car Flow System specializes in parking system implementations for medical facilities, designing solutions that combine high throughput with full security and management flexibility. Thanks to this experience, we were able to design infrastructure that meets the real needs of such a large hospital complex as the Voivodeship Specialist Hospital in Lublin.
At the core of the system is an extensive network of 19 parking terminals, positioned at key entry and exit points across the hospital grounds. The terminals are equipped with color touch screens and a multilingual user interface, ensuring intuitive operation for patients and visitors as well as for medical staff using subscriptions.
Such a large number of terminals allows traffic to be evenly distributed across the entire complex, minimizing the risk of congestion at critical entry and exit points – particularly important near the Admissions Department and the Emergency Department.
As part of the investment, we installed 3 automatic pay stations, allowing patients and visitors to settle parking fees quickly and conveniently without involving hospital staff.
Distributing the pay stations across different points of the complex reduces the distance patients and visitors need to travel, which is particularly important for elderly or mobility-impaired individuals, who make up a large share of the hospital's visitors.
The parking system uses 19 LPR cameras, which automatically recognize the license plates of vehicles entering and leaving the hospital grounds. This is one of the most extensive deployments of LPR technology at a medical facility in Poland, covering practically every entry point to the site.
LPR technology deployed at this scale significantly reduces vehicle processing time at entry and exit, resulting in smoother traffic flow throughout the entire hospital complex, including during peak visitor hours.
Physical access control to the parking zones is provided by 20 Premium parking barriers, distributed across the entire hospital complex. This is the solution we recommend for facilities with exceptionally high traffic and demanding reliability requirements, such as medical facilities operating around the clock.
The high reliability of the Premium barriers is critical in a hospital setting, where any malfunction could disrupt the smooth flow of privileged vehicles, medical staff, and patients.
The entire, extensive infrastructure – terminals, pay stations, LPR cameras, and barriers – was integrated within a single, coherent management system based on CarFlow 2.12 software. This gave the hospital administration a central tool for overseeing all parking traffic across the complex.
The reservation module also enables precise management of parking spaces reserved for specific user groups, which is important at a facility where the availability of parking spaces directly affects patients' comfort and the time it takes them to reach the facility.
A project of this scale delivered measurable operational and reputational benefits for the Voivodeship Specialist Hospital in Lublin:
The implementation of the Car Flow System parking system at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński Voivodeship Specialist Hospital in Lublin is one of the most extensive installations in our company's history – both in terms of the number of installed devices (19 terminals, 20 Premium barriers, 19 LPR cameras, and 3 automatic pay stations) and the complexity of the entire project.
A project of this scale clearly confirms that Car Flow System solutions effectively meet the needs of the most demanding public-use facilities, including medical institutions, where reliability, security, and smooth traffic flow are of key importance – including in the context of accessibility for privileged vehicles and ambulances.
The completion of this demanding project would not have been possible without close cooperation with our partner, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Polska. We thank them for their commitment, professionalism, and joint effort at every stage of the implementation – from design, through delivery and installation, to the commissioning of a system encompassing dozens of devices at an active medical facility.
The Car Flow System parking system implemented at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński Voivodeship Specialist Hospital in Lublin is a comprehensive solution designed for large medical facilities and public-use institutions. The installation includes 19 entry and exit terminals, 20 Premium parking barriers, 19 LPR cameras, 3 automatic pay stations, and a full package of CarFlow 2.12 software with a reservation module.
The project ensures full automation of parking operations, increases the comfort of patients, visitors, and medical staff, and enables effective management of vehicle traffic across the entire hospital complex throughout the year. We sincerely thank our partner, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Polska, for their joint commitment to this investment.
